STACKBIN CUSTOM APPLICATION PROJECTS

WALGREENS PHARMACY:
MULTI CONFIGURABLE SCANNING WORKSTATION / FLOW STATION.
A fine example of Stackbin’s custom design work. This scanning workstation was designed in conjunction with a conveyor system for the Walgreens distribution facilities. The work table design accommodates small space constraints while retaining the capability to have a work surface that extends 48" from the side of the unit to a conveyor where product on the sliding surface can then be slid on to the outbound conveyor for processing. (The three positions the this unit is capable of is shown in the surrounding photos.) Each station is set-up so product can be placed on to the fixed portion of the unit, scanned, then slid onto the conveyor system.

The custom work bench design of this flow station for Walgreens began with basic conversation between Stackbins' product development and Walgreens management to learn more about the expectations of the perfect scanning workstation / flow station for this application. Based upon specs given by Walgreens and the imagination of Stackbin, a line drawing of the station was developed which later led to an actual prototype being developed and shipped for approval. Some final tweaks were made and the order was placed for 30+ units and shipped in the agreed time frame.
